Social Share Modal
A window opened from the Recordings page that lets you publish a finished recording to one or more social platforms in a single submission. See social-share for the feature concept and share-recording-to-social for the full procedure.
Location
Opens from the per-recording dropdown on the Recordings page, for both full recordings and short clips. The dropdown item is labelled “Social Share” with a blue “New” badge.
The item appears only when Social Share is enabled on your account and the recording has finished processing.
Two views
The modal is a single window, but its title and footer change with the phase:
| Phase | Title | Footer button | What’s shown |
|---|---|---|---|
| Loading | “Share to Social Media” | (disabled) | “Loading destinations…” |
| Selection / configuration | “Share to Social Media” | “Share to N destination(s)” | Destination thumbnails and per-destination accordions |
| Sharing | “Share to Social Media” | “Sharing…” (disabled) | Same as selection, with inputs disabled |
| Results | “Share Results” | “Done” | Per-destination success or failure rows with View links or error text |
Elements
Loading state
The placeholder text “Loading destinations…” while your connected destinations (personal and event-specific) are being fetched.
Empty state
“No destinations connected” with an “Add Destination” button, shown when you have no supported destinations.
Destination row
A horizontal row of clickable thumbnails, each with the destination name and platform icon. Click a thumbnail to select or unselect it. Selected destinations get a blue border; unselected ones are faded.
Add Destination button
Hides the modal and opens the standard destinations popup so you can connect a new platform. When you close the popup, the share modal reopens automatically and keeps the destinations you had already selected.
Apply to all buttons
Shown next to the Title and Description fields when two or more destinations are selected. Each button copies that field’s value to every other selected destination. Title and Description have separate buttons.
YouTube accordion

- Description: text area
- Privacy: Private / Unlisted / Public

LinkedIn accordion
Used for both LinkedIn Profile and LinkedIn Page destinations.
- Title: text input, up to 100 characters
- Description: text area
TikTok accordion
- Title: text input, up to 150 characters
- Description: text area
- Privacy: Public / Friends / Only me. Required (red asterisk on the label)
- Commercial-disclosure checkbox: “This content promotes a brand, product, or service”
- Brand-type options (shown only when the checkbox is ticked):
- “Your Brand - You are promoting yourself or your own business”
- “Branded Content - You are promoting another brand or a third party”
- Interactions: three checkboxes, “Allow Comment”, “Allow Duet”, “Allow Stitch” (all off by default)
- Note when “Branded Content” is selected: “Branded content can only be set to Public or Friends visibility.” “Only me” becomes unavailable, and if it was selected the privacy silently switches to Public.
- Note when the video is too long: “Video is too long for TikTok. Maximum allowed duration is 10 minutes.” Shown when the recording is longer than 600 seconds.
- Footer note (always visible): “After publishing, it may take a few minutes for your video to be processed and visible on your TikTok profile.”
- Legal links: “Music Usage Confirmation” and, when branded content is selected, the branded-content policy.
Share button
The primary button in the footer.
- Label (selection view): “Share to N destination(s)”, where N updates as you select
- Label (during share): “Sharing…” (disabled)
- Disabled when:
- no destinations are selected, or
- any selected TikTok destination has no privacy set, or
- a TikTok destination is selected and the recording is longer than 10 minutes.
- Action: shares to every selected destination at the same time
Result row (results view)
One row per destination with its thumbnail, name and status.
- Success: a “View” link that opens the published post on the platform
- Failure: the platform’s error message, shown inline
Done button (results view)
Closes the modal.
Things that can be surprising
- Silent TikTok privacy switch: choosing “Branded Content” while “Only me” is selected changes the privacy to Public without a warning. If your privacy changed on its own, this is why.
- Disabled share button with no message: when the button is disabled because a TikTok destination has no privacy set, there is no inline error. The button is simply disabled.
- Selections survive adding a destination: clicking “Add Destination” hides the modal but keeps your selected destinations. After the destinations popup closes, the modal reopens with the same selection and a refreshed destination list.
- “Apply to all” works per field: Title and Description each have their own “Apply to all” button.
