How to Filter and Show Only Paid Comments / Super Chat
This guide shows you how to see only paid comments like Super Chat donations, memberships, and tips in the Comments tab.
Quick Steps
- Open the Comments tab in the left sidebar
- Click the filter icon inside the search box (right side of the search input)
- Select “Super chat” from the dropdown
- Only paid/donation comments are now shown
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Open the Comments Tab
- Look at the left sidebar of the editor
- Click the Comments tab (comments icon)
- The Comments panel opens showing all incoming comments from connected platforms
Step 2: Open the Filter Dropdown
- At the top of the Comments panel, find the search box
- Inside the search box on the right side, there is a filter button (filter icon)
- Click the filter button
- A dropdown menu appears with filter options
Step 3: Select “Super chat”
- In the dropdown, click “Super chat” (green dollar icon)
- The filter is now active - the filter button turns blue to indicate it’s active
- A label “Filter: Super Chat” appears below the search box
- Only paid/donation comments are now visible in the list
Step 4: View Filtered Comments
The Super Chat filter shows these types of comments:

Super Chat Color Coding
Paid comments are color-coded by donation amount:

| $5 - $10 | Green |
| $10 - $20 | Yellow |
| $20 - $50 | Orange |
| $50 - $100 | Magenta |

All Filter Options in the Comments Tab
The filter dropdown in the search box offers these options:

| Star | Orange star | Only comments you’ve starred |
| Shown | Blue eye (open) | Only comments already shown on stream |

Note: Only one filter can be active at a time. To clear a filter, click “Show All” in the dropdown.
Showing Paid Comments on Stream
After filtering to Super Chat, you can display them on your stream:
- Click on a comment in the filtered list to show it on screen
- The comment appears as a banner/highlight on your broadcast
- If auto-hide is enabled (Settings > Social Comments), it disappears automatically after the set timeout
Tips
- Use the Super Chat filter during monetized streams to quickly find and highlight donations
- Combine with auto-hide (Settings > Social Comments) for efficient donation acknowledgment
- Star important donations first, then switch to the Star filter to show them in order
- Super Chat notifications can also trigger toast alerts and sounds (enable in Settings > Social Comments)
