The Chat Box widget shows live comments automatically on your stream as they arrive from all connected platforms. Unlike the built-in comment highlighting (which requires clicking each comment), the Chat Box displays everything automatically.
When to Use
- You want comments to appear automatically without clicking each one
- Casual streams with trusted communities
- Small audience where moderation isn’t a concern
- Creating a “live chat feed” overlay on your stream
Steps
- Open the Layers tab. Apps work on both scene types:
- Dynamic Scene: expand Apps & Widgets -> Add from marketplace
- Pro scene: click Add New Layer -> Apps & Widgets
- Search for “Chat Box” and click to add it
Step 2: Position and Size
- Drag the Chat Box layer to where you want comments to appear
- Resize it - common placements:
- Right side of screen as a vertical chat feed
- Bottom of screen as a horizontal strip
- Corner overlay

Avatar Modes:
- Default (both off): Avatar appears in standard position

Tips
- Start with default settings and adjust based on how it looks on stream
- Transparent background with blur creates a sleek overlay look
- For gaming streams, position the chat box on the side with 5-10 comments
- For talk shows, position at the bottom with more comments visible
- Use Super Chat filter to show only donations during charity streams
- Test with sample comments - click “Test Comments” in settings to see how they look
- Clear comments using the “Clear” button in settings to reset the display
- Comments duplicate detection prevents the same comment from appearing twice
