What each plan includes

These are the real limits the server enforces, described the way the pricing page describes them. Never quote the internal capability names behind a feature — say “multiple cameras” or “ISO local recording”, never the identifier of the switch that controls it.

Prices change. Give the figure when asked, say it is the current published price, and send anyone about to buy to evmux.com/pricing.

Free plan

The Free plan costs $0. It includes 3 GB of storage, streaming to 2 destinations at once, and 30 streaming hours per month, with any single broadcast limited to 2 hours. One live broadcast at a time.

Recording works on Free, but the recording stops after 7 minutes while the livestream itself keeps running. Videos you upload can be up to 250 MB each. Free shows the “Powered by evmux” watermark on the broadcast, and gives 10 AI image generations and 5 AI assistant requests per day.

Free includes the apps & widgets, backstage mode, push to talk, Full HD 1080p, lower thirds, banners, tickers, integrated chats, highlighted comments, virtual background and screen sharing — plus a limited Pro Scene-Builder.

Free does not have: custom RTMP, guest destinations, importing a shared scene code, custom branding fonts, ISO local recording, multiple cameras, web sources, dual streaming, restream, remote settings, 320 kbit/s audio, pre-recorded streams, or collaborator seats.

Basic plan

The Basic plan costs $25 per month billed monthly, or $19 per month billed annually (saving $72 a year). It has 20 GB of storage, streaming to 4 destinations at once, 750 streaming hours per month, and a single broadcast can run 6 hours. One live broadcast at a time.

Basic removes the “Powered by evmux” watermark and gives unlimited recording (no 7-minute cap). Uploads can be up to 2 GB per video. It has 2 collaborator seats (that count includes the account owner), 20 AI image generations and 50 AI assistant requests per day, and 5 scheduled pre-recorded streams of up to 2 hours each.

Basic adds over Free: the full Pro Scene-Builder, logo/backgrounds/overlays, slideshow, custom RTMP destinations, letting guests add their own destinations, importing a shared scene code, custom branding fonts, and transcription.

Basic still does not have: ISO local recording, multiple cameras, web sources, dual streaming, restream, remote settings, 320 kbit/s audio, or the evmux Player.

Pro plan

The Pro plan costs $49 per month billed monthly, or $39 per month billed annually (saving $120 a year). It has 50 GB of storage, streaming to 9 destinations at once, 1,500 streaming hours per month, a 6 hour limit per broadcast, and 2 live broadcasts at the same time.

Pro has 4 collaborator seats (including the owner), 50 AI image generations and 200 AI assistant requests per day, and 5 scheduled pre-recorded streams of up to 3 hours each.

Pro is where these arrive: ISO local recording (each participant recorded separately on their own machine), multiple cameras / multicam, web-source layers, dual streaming (landscape and portrait at once), restream, remote settings (changing a guest’s camera or microphone for them), and 320 kbit/s audio.

Pro does not include the evmux Player — that is Business only.

Business plans

Business packages are bespoke: the pricing page says “Contact Us”. Never quote a Business price, and never promise a specific Business limit — point the user at sales.

Business is the only place the evmux Player is available, with a viewer cap of 1,000 on the entry tier and 10,000 on the higher one. Business also raises storage to 100–150 GB, allows 8–10 hour broadcasts, 3,000–4,500 streaming hours a month, 4–6 simultaneous live broadcasts, 5–7 collaborator seats, more scheduled pre-recorded streams (up to 5–8 hours each), uploading videos from the dashboard, and 70–150 AI images a day.

Enterprise packages can also include a dedicated support manager, cross-broadcast templates, onboarding and training, and white-glove setup.

Quick answers to the questions people actually ask

  • “How many people can be on screen?” Up to 12 feeds on screen at once, on every plan including Free — and it counts feeds, not people: cameras, extra cameras, screen shares and media shares each take a slot, so one person can use several. The Fast Access Bar can hold up to 20 feeds; you pick which 12 are on screen.
  • “Do I need to pay to invite guests?” No — guests are not plan-limited, Free invites the same as Pro. But there is a ceiling that is not about plans: 20 connected feeds at once, including your own. Beyond that the connection fails and asks you to remove feeds first. You can rotate people through a session freely — remove finished guests and new ones can join in their place.
  • “How much storage do I get?” 3 GB on Free, 20 GB on Basic, 50 GB on Pro, 100–150 GB on Business.
  • “How many destinations can I stream to at once?” 2 on Free, 4 on Basic, 9 on Pro and Business.
  • “Is ISO / local recording on Basic?” No — ISO local recording starts at Pro.
  • “Which plan has the evmux Player?” Business only.
  • “How long can one broadcast run?” 2 hours on Free, 6 on Basic and Pro, 8–10 on Business.
  • “Why did my recording stop?” On Free the recording is capped at 7 minutes; the stream keeps going.
  • “How many collaborators?” 2 seats on Basic, 4 on Pro, 5–7 on Business — each count includes the account owner.
  • “I upgraded but nothing changed / I still see the watermark.” Check the email they are signed in with first (people often buy on one account and log in with another), then have them refresh the studio page so it reloads the new permissions.

Keeping this page current

Live values come from the dashboard’s plan-capabilities page (/plansExplained) and the wording and prices from evmux.com/pricing, which has a monthly/annual switcher — record both figures. After changing this page, rebuild the knowledge index or the assistant keeps answering from the old numbers.
