Session Switcher

The session switcher sits in the studio header. It shows the name of the session you are in and lets you jump to another session in the same project.

What you see

  • The current session’s name.
  • A red live dot in front of the name when that session is live.
  • An arrow button next to the name that opens the list of sessions. The arrow flips while the list is open.

Long session names are shortened with an ellipsis, so keep names short if you want to read them at a glance.

Session details on hover

  • Editors see a tooltip with the session’s title, description, start time and end time.
  • Speakers see a tooltip with the session name.

Switching sessions

  1. Click the arrow next to the session name.
  2. Pick a session from the list.
  3. The studio reloads with the selected session.

Who can switch

  • Editors always have the switcher, unless it has been turned off for your organisation.
  • Speakers only see the switcher when the project has more than one session.

Tips

  1. Name sessions clearly so they are easy to tell apart in the list.
  2. Watch the live dot. It tells you which session is on air.
  3. Avoid switching while live. Switching sessions reloads the studio.
