- The context menu appears
Step 2: Select Export
- Click Export in the context menu
- The “Share scene” dialog opens
Step 3: Copy the Scene Code

- Tooltip shows: “Copy to Clipboard”
- After copying, tooltip changes to: “Copied”

- Recipients can import using this code
- Code is a unique identifier for your scene
Step 5: Close the Dialog
- Click outside the dialog to close
- Click the X button in the top-right corner
- Press Escape key
Important Information
The dialog displays this notice:
“When sharing a scene, anyone with the scene identifier will be able to import it in its current state. However, once you delete the scene on your end, it will no longer be available for import by others.”
Key Points:
- Scene is shared in its current state
- Code works as long as you keep the scene
- Deleting your scene invalidates the code
- Recipients get an independent copy, not a linked version. Changes in either studio do not affect the other.
Importing a Shared Scene
To use a scene code you received:
- Click Add Scene in the Scenes panel
- In the “Create new Pro scene” dialog, find Import Scene
- Enter the share code
- The scene is imported into your session
What Transfers When Importing a Scene
When someone imports your scene, they get a full copy including media assets. Here is exactly what transfers:
Fully Copied (YES - Transfers)
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| All layers | Positions, sizes, effects, animation, order |
| Images and videos | All uploaded media files are copied to the new studio |
| Slideshows | Complete slideshow content |
| Text content and styling | All text layers with fonts and formatting |
| Custom fonts | Font files used by layers |
| Scene background | Background colors and overrides |
| Stinger/transition effects | Per-scene transition configuration |
| Lower-third templates | Banner and lower-third configurations |
| Apps & Widgets | Widget layers and their settings |
Does NOT Transfer (Per-Studio)
| Item | Why |
|---|---|
| Participant video feeds | Speakers/guests are unique to each studio - the importer adds their own people |
| Live streaming destinations | Each studio has its own streaming setup |
| Recording settings | Per-session configuration |
In short: Everything visual about the scene (layout, media, styling) is fully copied. Only live participant connections are studio-specific.
Tips
Before Sharing
- Review the scene for any sensitive content
- Test that all layers appear correctly
Scene Persistence
- Keep the original scene if you want the code to remain valid
- Make a copy before modifying if you’ve shared the code
- Renaming the scene doesn’t affect the share code
Collaboration
- Great for sharing templates with team members
- Use for consistent branding across productions
- Share starting points for common broadcast formats
Troubleshooting
Copy button not working?
- Click directly on the blue copy button
- Check browser clipboard permissions
- Try selecting and copying manually
Code not accepted when importing?
- Verify the code was copied completely
- Check if the original scene was deleted
Scene looks different after import?
- Layer positions and all media should transfer correctly
- Participant video feeds will be empty - you need to add your own speakers/guests
- Check that apps & widgets are functioning in the new studio
