Sound Effects

Sound Effects (SFX) provide instant audio clips triggered by buttons or keyboard shortcuts during broadcasts. Use them for applause, transitions, alerts, and more.

The Sound Effects Panel

Each slot shows:

Name
Duration (--:-- if the slot is empty)
A progress bar while the effect plays
An options menu (…)

Click a slot to play it. The sound goes out to the broadcast and the progress bar runs for the length of the clip.

Option	Description
Replace Sound	Select a new audio file
Rename	Change the display name
Volume Bar	Show or hide the volume slider on the slot

Replacing Sounds

Click the options menu (…)
Select Replace Sound
The Media Chooser opens, filtered to audio
Select an audio file (max 10 seconds)

If the file is longer than 10 seconds, you see the error “SoundFX supports maximum of 10 seconds audio” and the file is not assigned.

Volume Control

Each effect has its own volume level from 0 to 100. Use Volume Bar in the options menu to show a slider on the slot so you can adjust it quickly during the show.

AI Assistant

The AI assistant can list your configured sound effects and play one for you by name.

File Requirements

Format: MP3, MPEG
Maximum duration: 10 seconds
Uploaded via the Media Chooser
Stored in your media library as audio

Best Practices

Keep effects short - Under 5 seconds is ideal
Normalize volume - Keep levels consistent across effects
Test before live - Verify each effect works
Use meaningful names - Easy identification
Prepare favorites - Set up before the broadcast
