AI Production Assistant Panel
The panel titled AI Production Assistant is the studio’s built-in help. It answers questions about evmux and can highlight the right control on screen. It does not make changes to your studio.
The window
At the top: the title, a Feedback button, an expand/collapse button that makes the panel larger or smaller, and a close button.
Before the first message it greets you and suggests questions to try, such as how to go live on YouTube, where the green screen setting is, or why viewers cannot hear a guest.
Messages appear as a conversation with your side marked You, each with the time it was sent. While the assistant is working, animated dots show, and its reply streams in as it is written.
Asking for something
The input box at the bottom reads “Ask me how anything in the studio”. Type and press Enter, or use the send button. Under it, a percentage shows how much of this month’s AI allowance you have used.
Voice input: the microphone button beside it dictates instead of typing — press it, speak, press again to stop, or Escape to cancel. A flag button picks the language you are speaking, which matters for recognition accuracy. Voice input only appears where the browser supports speech recognition.
This microphone belongs to the assistant’s input box. It is not the studio microphone — muting yourself in the broadcast is the mic button in the bottom toolbar, a different control.
Show me buttons
Answers can include a Show me button. Pressing it walks you through the real controls in the studio, highlighting each one in turn, so you see where the thing actually is instead of reading a description of it. Some answers also offer a Troubleshooting guide button, and links come with a copy button.
Feedback
Feedback opens a small box — “What’s working? What could be better?”, up to 250 characters — that sends your note to the evmux team. It is for the assistant itself, not for support requests.
Clearing the conversation
The chat can be cleared, with a confirmation first. Clearing empties the window and the assistant’s memory of the conversation, so it starts fresh with no recollection of what was said before.
What it can and cannot do
It answers questions about evmux, explains features, suggests what to check when something is wrong, and shows you where controls are. It does not act in the studio: it will not add a participant, create a layer or switch a scene for you. For that, connect your own AI client through MCP, see Connect your own AI to the studio.
