Local Recording Status (ISO)
When ISO local recording is on, the header shows a small cloud indicator. Clicking it opens Local recording status — a panel listing everyone in the session with their own recording and upload state. It is how you check that each participant’s file is really being captured, and later that it has finished uploading.
Each participant is a row with their name and, on the right, one short status.
While the broadcast is running
- rec — that participant is recording locally right now. This is what you want to see
- initializing — they are connected but their recorder has not reported in yet; it should turn to rec shortly
- a red dot — something went wrong on their machine. Hovering it says “Error while recording locally”
After the broadcast ends
The files then upload from each participant’s own computer, and the rows switch to progress:
- fetching — evmux is still working out how much there is to send
- a percentage — how much of that participant’s recording has uploaded so far
- a red dot — hovering says “Error while uploading”
Participants must leave the studio tab open until their percentage completes. The files sit on their own computer until they are uploaded, so closing the tab early stops the upload. Once someone reaches 100%, their recordings are in the dashboard and they can close it. That is the honest answer to “can I close the tab now?” — check their row first.
Answering questions about this
Describe the statuses the user can actually see — rec, initializing, fetching, the percentage, the red error dot. Never use internal status names: there are no states called “ReadyForUpload”, “Uploaded”, “Pending upload” or “Complete” in the interface, and quoting them sends people hunting for words that are not on their screen.
