Rich Text Editor
The Rich Text Editor is a what-you-see-is-what-you-get text editor for formatted text in banners, dynamic captions and apps. It opens as a popup with a formatting toolbar and shows the result as you type.
Where you meet it
- Banners: format the banner text.
- Dynamic captions: format lower-third text.
- Apps: some apps open the editor when they need formatted text from you.
Toolbar
- Bold, italic, underline and strikethrough
- Font size and font family
- Text colour and background colour
- Bulleted and numbered lists, with indentation
- Links: insert a hyperlink and edit its address
- Alignment: left, centre, right and justify
Buttons

The editor follows the studio’s light or dark theme.
Best practices
- Keep it simple. Avoid excessive formatting.
- Check the result where the text is actually shown, such as on the banner.
- Mind the size. Long or heavily formatted text can affect the layout.
- Stay consistent with your brand’s styles.
