Exclusive Talk
Exclusive Talk allows a single speaker to have exclusive audio output, temporarily muting all other participants. This is useful for moderator announcements or focused communication.
Overview
Exclusive Talk features:
- Single speaker audio isolation
- Automatic muting of other participants
- Visual indicator when active
- Quick toggle on/off
- Moderator/Host control
How it works
- Click the Exclusive button to turn Exclusive Talk on for the selected speaker.
- All other participants are muted. Their previous mute and volume settings are remembered.
- Click the button again to turn it off. The other participants’ mute and volume settings are restored to what they were.
While Exclusive Talk is active:
- The Exclusive button is highlighted with a pulsing icon.
- An “Exclusive” label appears in the live labels above the scene.
- The Listen Offstage Feeds toggle is disabled and shows “Disabled due to Exclusive Talk”.
Who can use it
- Only hosts and moderators (editors) see the toggle button.
- Guests see the indicator but cannot toggle it.
Use Cases
1. Moderator Announcement
- The host needs to make an important announcement
- Enable Exclusive Talk to ensure clarity
- All other audio is temporarily muted
2. Technical Difficulties
- One speaker has audio issues
- Isolate the working speaker while fixing the problem
- Resume normal audio when resolved
3. Interview Focus
- During an interview, focus on one person
- Reduce background noise from others
- Toggle as needed during the conversation
