Comments Panel
The Comments tab in the side panel collects viewer comments from every connected platform in one list, and is how a comment gets put on screen.
Search and filter
A Search box filters the list by text. The filter button inside the search box opens a short menu, and the active filter is named underneath as “Filter: …”:

A comment in the list
Each comment shows the viewer’s avatar and name, the text, how long ago it arrived, and the icon of the platform it came from — YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, X, LinkedIn, Kick, Rumble or the evmux Player. Paid comments also show the amount, and members get a star badge by their name.
Three things you can do with a comment:
- Click the comment to put it on screen, and click again to take it off. The row shows Show or Hide as you point at it. Only one comment is on screen at a time — showing a second one replaces the first
- The star icon marks a comment so you can find it again with the Star filter. Starring does not put it on screen
- The ⋮ button opens a small menu with Copy Comment, and Block User on the platforms that support it (YouTube, Twitch, Kick, X, LinkedIn, Rumble, evmux Player)
Starring and showing are not in the ⋮ menu — they are the star icon and the comment itself.
If comment auto-hide is switched on in Settings, the comment currently on screen shows a countdown ring on its avatar as it runs out.
A Hide current comment button above the list takes the on-screen comment off immediately.
Posting a comment yourself
At the bottom is a box placeholdered Post a comment. Beside it, a picker chooses where it goes — one destination, or All destinations — and the send button posts it. This posts as the connected account on that platform.
Pop out comments
Pop out comments opens the list in its own floating window, useful on a second monitor while you produce. The panel then shows “Comments popped out — Click to bring back”; clicking it returns the list to the side panel.
Facebook: comments not arriving
The panel warns about this directly, and it is a frequent support question: when streaming to a Facebook profile, viewer comments will not appear unless the stream is set to public. Facebook defaults that to friends-only. If someone says their Facebook comments are missing, check that first.
Answering questions about this panel
Describe the visible things — the Comments tab, the search box, the star, the ⋮ button — and never CSS classes or element ids. When someone asks how to “show a comment on stream”, the answer is to click the comment in the list, not to look for a button.
