Dashboard Overview

The Evmux Dashboard is the web-based admin panel for managing your account, projects (events), sessions, speakers, collaborators, and recordings outside of the live studio.

Main Sections

Projects (Events)

Manage broadcasting projects:

  • Create new projects
  • Edit project details (name, description, logo, timezone)
  • View the project dashboard
  • Access the project’s sessions, speakers, and collaborators

Sessions

Create and manage broadcast sessions:

  • Live Stream sessions
  • Recording sessions
  • Pre-Recorded video streaming
  • Session scheduling with destinations

Speakers

Manage speakers for events:

  • Invite speakers via email
  • View the speaker list with search
  • Edit speaker profiles
  • Reinvite speakers
  • Delete speakers

Collaborators

Team management:

  • Invite collaborators by email
  • View the owner and collaborators
  • Remove collaborators
  • Plan-based collaborator limits

Recordings

Access broadcast recordings:

  • View recordings by session date
  • Download recordings
  • Delete recordings (with confirmation)
  • Multi-select operations

Account Settings

User account management:

  • General profile settings

Create and manage User Apps:

First-time setup

New users are asked to pick their interests, such as Gaming Live Streams, Cooking and Food, Fitness and Workouts, or Music Performances.

Session Types

The create-session dialog shows three tiles:

  1. Live Stream - opens the studio
  2. Recording - opens the same studio session; this tile is only a label, it creates an identical session and sets nothing differently
  3. Pre-Recorded - upload an MP4 and stream it to destinations (paid plans only). This one really is a different kind of session.

Important: streaming versus recording is not decided here. Any studio session records instead of streaming simply by having no active destination — in the studio the Go Live button then reads “Record”. You never need to create a new session in order to record.

Plan Restrictions

Features limited by plan:

  • Number of collaborators per project
  • Number of scheduled pre-recorded video streams

Best Practices

  1. Organize projects - Group related sessions in projects
  2. Manage speakers - Invite speakers before sessions
  3. Set collaborators - Add team members for shared access
  4. Review recordings - Download important recordings promptly
  5. Monitor billing - Keep subscription current
