Studio Stuck Loading (Blue Loading Bar Frozen / Studio Won't Load)

When you open the studio, a blue progress bar runs across the top of the screen while everything loads. If that bar gets stuck partway and the studio never finishes — you can’t work with your scenes, panels don’t respond — the studio is trying to establish its live connection and failing.

People describe this many different ways, and they all mean the same thing: “a blue line/strip is stuck across the top”, “the blue bar is frozen”, “the studio won’t load”, “it’s stuck loading”, “it hangs halfway”, “I can’t work with my scenes”. Treat any of these as the studio failing to finish connecting.

This is almost always a local network or device issue

evmux’s servers are stable, monitored around the clock, and very reliable, so a stuck load almost always comes from something on the user’s side blocking the connection. Work through these, reloading the studio after each one:

  1. Restart your router (and your computer, if you can).
  2. Close other programs running in the background — especially anything using a lot of internet.
  3. Turn off any VPN or proxy while using the evmux studio. These very often block the connection.
  4. Temporarily disable third-party antivirus. Some antivirus software — for example Kaspersky, Avast, or Dr.Web — blocks the connection the studio needs. Windows Defender is completely fine and does not need to be turned off.
  5. Disable your browser extensions for a test — an extension can interfere with loading.

Still stuck?
