How to Show or Hide a Layer

This guide shows you how to toggle layer visibility to show or hide content during your broadcast.

Quick Steps

Find the layer in the Layers panel
Click the eye icon (👁) next to the layer
Layer toggles visible/hidden
Repeat to show again

Understanding Layer Visibility

State	Eye Icon	On Scene
Visible	👁 (open)	Layer is shown
Hidden	👁‍🗨 (closed/crossed)	Layer is hidden

Hidden layers:

Not visible on scene or broadcast
Still exist and keep their settings
Can be shown again instantly
Useful for quick show/hide during live

Method 1: Eye Icon in Layers Panel

Hiding a Layer

Open the Layers panel (left side)
Find the layer you want to hide
Click the eye icon (👁) next to the layer name
Eye icon changes (crossed out or closed)
Layer disappears from scene

Showing a Hidden Layer

In Layers panel, find the hidden layer
Click the eye icon again
Eye icon shows as open (👁)
Layer reappears on the scene

Toggle Visibility

Right-click on the layer (in scene or panel)
Select Hide or Show
Layer visibility toggles

Method 3: Keyboard Shortcut

If configured:

Select multiple layers (Ctrl/Cmd + click)
Right-click > Show/Hide
All selected layers toggle together

Use Hide when you’ll need the layer again. Use Delete when you no longer need it.
