Watermark

The Watermark is a branding overlay displayed on the broadcast scene for users on the Free plan. It shows the evmux logo over your content.

Overview

Watermark characteristics:

  • Displayed for Free plan users
  • Full-screen overlay, sized for the full 1920x1080 frame
  • Sits above all your layers
  • Visible in the broadcast output and in recordings
  • Cannot be removed without upgrading

Removal

The only way to remove the watermark is to upgrade to a paid plan. When you try to use a premium feature on the Free plan, evmux shows an upgrade prompt.

Other Free Plan Effects

  • AI-generated images: images you generate with the AI image tool on the Free plan carry the watermark too.
  • Layer frames: choosing a frame for a layer is a paid feature; on the Free plan you see an upgrade prompt instead.

“I upgraded but the watermark is still there”

Check two things, in this order:

  1. Are you signed in under the same email that holds the subscription? This is very common when you have more than one address. Sign out and back in with the account that was upgraded.
  2. Was the studio already open when you bought the plan? The open tab is still running with your old permissions. Refresh the page.

Only after both are ruled out is it a billing matter for support. See also the page “I upgraded but the studio still acts like my old plan”.

  1. Consider upgrading - Watermark-free broadcasts look more professional
  2. Plan presentation - The watermark may cover important content
  3. Test output - Verify the watermark position in recordings
