Content: keeping it inside evmux, protecting it, and what is not allowed
Keeping content inside evmux is real
Streaming from evmux Studio to the evmux Player keeps the whole chain inside evmux: the studio produces it, the evmux Player delivers it, and it never gets published to an outside platform’s feed. Nothing is posted to YouTube, Facebook or anywhere else, and there is no external account involved. The user decides where the player is embedded or who gets the link, so the audience is whoever they give it to.
That is a genuine answer to “can I keep my content inside evmux instead of YouTube” — yes.
The evmux Player is available on Business plans only — not Free, not Basic, not Pro. Never describe it as being on “paid plans”.
What that does NOT mean
Inside evmux is not the same as untouchable, and users should not be told otherwise:
- evmux is not a private vault. Content streamed and stored through evmux is subject to evmux’s terms and public policy.
- evmux moderates. If evmux finds that illegal or dangerous content has been streamed — child sexual abuse material, or anything comparably serious — evmux will delete the content and will most likely ban the account. evmux’s published policy covers this and protects evmux from claims arising from it.
- Say this factually if a user asks what evmux can see or do about their content. It is not a threat and not a lecture — it is the answer to the question.
evmux does not protect or monetise content
There is no DRM, no download prevention, no anti-piracy feature. Anyone who can watch a stream can record their own screen, and evmux cannot stop that — no streaming product really can.
There is likewise no paywall, ticketing or payment of any kind in evmux.
So protecting content and getting paid for it are the user’s problems to solve, outside evmux: their own login-protected page, a platform that offers paid or members-only streams, their own terms with their audience. Be honest about this rather than implying evmux offers protection it does not have — someone planning a paid event needs to know before the event, not after.
